WE LOVE GREYHOUNDS AND SIGHTHOUNDS
Everything changed when Dobby (now in spirit) came into our lives. We became completely gooey about greyhounds. When we see other greyhounds and their owners, we have to stop and say hello!

We didn't just start PeacePhil Dog Stays on a whim. We spent the time and money on specialist training, and meeting all the requirements for licensing with North Yorkshire Council. We care about getting it right and doing the best for you and your hound.

ENJOYING THE LIFE CHANGE
Moving to Cloughton, near Scarborough on the North Yorkshire Coast has been an exciting change from teaching art and design in Buckinghamshire. I am so lucky! I now get to care for lovely dogs, which has always been my passion. I enjoy walks on the beach and along the beautiful coastline and countryside.
As an avid conservationist and nature enthusiast, I am busy creating an area for nature in our back garden. When time allows, I hope to rekindle my own art, painting, and sculpture.
KATE
ANIMAL HEALING
I've been a holistic therapist for many years. After moving to Scarborough I joined a mediumship circle and enjoyed the process so much that I am now undertaking intensive study of animal reiki and animal psychic communication. I am passionate about giving a voice to animals who aren't being heard or understood and can’t wait to have the opportunity to provide healing, so they can live their best and happiest life.
As a keen environmentalist, a lot of my time is often taken up supporting local climate campaigns. Any spare time after that you'll find me sewing, renovating, upcycling and looking for unusual things in antique and charity shops.
Merlin
Curious, affectionate Merlin
We adopted Merlin aged two. He has brought so much fun and laughter into the house after the sad passing of Dobby.
Like Dobby, Merlin is a gentle soul. He is a lively young dog but has such a loving and gentle energy. He could, and would, spend hours giving cuddles. Merlin trusted us straight away and settled in unbelievably quickly with us. He is sociable and seems to enjoy all new experiences. He's just a lovely boy.
DOBBY (in spirit)
GENTLE, PLACID, DOBBY
We adopted Dobby aged two. He was described as 'gentle, placid Jack'. The description was spot on!
Dobby was such a beautiful and patient soul. He is no longer with us but lived until he was 11 years old, a distinguished gent who welcomed other gentle hounds into his home with such patience and grace. Without Dobby, Peacephil Dogs Stays would never have existed.
